Alicia Keys: Gorgeous Singer Reveals Why She’s Not Wearing Make-Up To Award Shows

Alicia Keys’ no make-up movement has been gaining a lot of attention in the media. But while many have already seemed to pick sides on the matter, thebeautiful singer explained the REAL reason she decided to go make-up free on ‘The TODAY Show’ on Sept. 2. Following her amazing musical performance on the Today stage,Alicia Keys, 35, joined the daytime show to talk about her latest album,In Common and to explain the motive behind her liberating movement, which she first brought to everyone’s attention after she penned an open letter in Lena Dunham’s Lenny Letterin May 2016.

“I think it came from, because we put so many limitations on ourselves,” she said. “I think we put limitations on each other. Society puts limitations on us. And in a lot of ways, I’m sick of it. Over it, to be honest.” The “Girl On Fire” singer also noted that her stand against using make-up in her daily routine was supposed to suggest that people should love each other for what’s on the inside rather than ON the outside. “It would be so amazing to just embrace each other how we are,” she added. “I think the most important thing is you do what feels good for you.” Wow, that is super inspiring!
