Kate Winslet Gets Emotional And Tears Up While Watching Leonardo DiCaprio's Oscars Acceptance Speech
When six-time nominee Leonardo DiCaprio took the stage to finally accept his first Oscar Sunday night, all of his fans rejoiced – but none so much as his former Titanic costar.
As DiCaprio delivered his victory speech after winning the award for Best Actor in The Revenant, Winslet was caught on camera looking visibly emotional, with her hands clasped together over her mouth and tears welling up in her eyes.
The Titanic costars, who reunited for a photo earlier Sunday night, have long been vocal about their love and support for each other. Winslet said ahead of the show that she believed this would be the year DiCaprio would finally win an Oscar.
"I do think it probably will be [him]," she told BBC News. "I think you can sort of feel it and I think that everyone wants it for him."

Halima Abubakar opens up, “I will never marry an actor ”
Halima Abubakar has opened up on the kind of man she likes, vowing never to marry an actor..Read excerpts from her interview with the Nation
On men finding her intimidating...
Well, that will be the man’s business because I didn’t tell such a man not to go to school, or have a library; I cannot afford not to be myself because of a man who feels intimidated by me. A man should even be happy to encourage me. Any man that is intimidated by a lady is not a man.
I have, however, learnt to be tolerant of people. I have learnt to ignore a lot of side talks; I have learnt to be patient with a lot of people, because I have a temper which I have learnt to control. I am working on myself.
Also because of the way that I have been treated in the past by people, I really do not value friendship. I am trying hard to know people and that’s where patience comes in. I am still trying to open up; I hope I will be able to do that with a man that I hope to spend the rest of my life with.
I do not want a man that I will spend just one year with and he’s gone. I don’t want a man that will make me pop out babies, then he will go clubbing. I will drag his hair to the house! I’ve had anger in the past, so it’s easy to piss me off and it’s easy for me to forgive. I don’t react; at the same time I’m not a robot, so I am bound to react once in a while.
How about marriage?
Marriage will come when it will come. You don’t rush it. It is one of the few things that one does not need to rush. Marriage is not a movie that one has to rush. You do not marry because the public wants you to get married. You do not marry because you are getting old, you do not marry because you are too young. You get married when it’s the right time. You get married when you meet the right man, when you know that it is okay and the man too is okay. And you are sure that you are going to have a fine, peaceful marriage.
But there are guys in the movie industry, haven’t they been approaching you with subtle marital proposals?
Well, you do not get married because you are in Nollywood or because people there are proposing. Moreover I do not encourage people to date where they work.
Does that also mean that you are not likely to marry an actor?
I will definitely not marry an actor.

Sylvester Stallone was turned down as an extra in the Godfather. 'I couldn't even get cast as an Italian
Sylvester Stallone is opening up about his life as a struggling actor before writing and starring in the Oscar-winning film Rocky.
"I lived in basically this flop house, $26 a week, very transient, and you shared a floor with 10 people," Stallone revealed in an interview with Robin Roberts for the ABC News special Journey to the Oscars.
The actor, who this year notched his third Academy Award nomination with his supporting turn in Creed, admitted that the low point in his career was being turned down as an extra in The Godfather.
"I couldn't even get cast as an Italian," Stallone said with a laugh. "I'll never forget, there's a party scene – it's 300 guests! They said no. I said, 'What part of me didn't pass the Italian identification aspect?' "
At the time, Stallone said he felt like "God is telling me something."
But instead of giving up, he decided to take control of the situation and write his own screenplay. Three-and-a-half days later, he had finished the script for Rocky.
"I just didn't understand how the rules of life were played at that point but this character I understood," he explained.
Despite receiving a $360,000 offer for the script, Stallone refused to sell unless he could star as the film's titular character.
The resulting film received 10 Oscar nominations at the 1977 Academy Awards, winning three: Best Picture, Best Director and Best Film Editing. In addition, Stallone joined Charlie Chaplin and Orson Welles as the third person to be nominated for both acting and writing in the same year.
Nearly four decades later, Stallone is back in the Oscar race for his turn in the Rockyrevival film Creed, directed by Ryan Coogler and starring Michael B. Jordan. Ironically, it's a role Stallone said he almost turned down.
"I never wanted to do this movie. I thought sick Rocky is exactly what is so counter-intuitive to what the optimistic aspect of what Rocky really is designed for ... If you're afraid of something, that's the commitment of the artist. That's his duty to pursue the unknown, to go someplace where he's literally at odds with himself," Stallone said.
Now, nominated again for the first time since 1977, Stallone could not be happier to celebrate the movie's success.
"This is a really special moment in my life because there are not that many moments left. You know they are really getting very special," he said.
